For 23 years Lisa Orr has been professional potter and student of ceramics. She completed an MFA at the NYSCC at Alfred University in 1992 and later received grants including a Fulbright and a MAAA/NEA. Her work is in numerous public and private collections including the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco and the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts. Currently she teaches, lectures and shows nationally.
Troy Lanier is presently the CTO of DadLabs.com, an online TV channel for Dads. A co-creator of DadLabs, he supervises all production and post production for the channel's four weekly shows. In 2007 the channel had over 250,000 video views, was featured on MSNBC, Youtube, Yahoo Video and Revver. Troy's video-related interests and skills include producer, cinematographer and editor. While documentaries are his genre of choice, he is drawn to working with interesting people on compelling projects of any sort. Presently he is shooting on a Panasonic HVX 200, and he has a mastery of Final Cut Pro and Photoshop. An avid climber and caver, Troy is comfortable on rope and in high places with a camera. He is also a member of Team TexFX, a group of Austin filmmakers running in the Austin Marathon and raising money for the Austin Children's Shelter. Troy is co-author of Filmmaking for Teens, and has taught high school filmmaking in both an academic and summer camp setting. Past work experience includes high school teacher where he won teacher of the year, a summer as a backcountry ranger in Yosemite National Park, and a year at NASA in the field of electrical engineering. He holds a Masters in The History of Science, Technology and Medicine from the University of Wisconsin, and an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from The Georgia Institute of Technology (GA Tech).
